About Martial Arts International Academy

Martial Arts International is a family training center, which offers a variety of programs to meet your needs. From Karate to Contact Combat and several Fighting and Fitness classes, we feel sure we have a program that we can tailor to fit your needs. MAI offers special PEE WEE classes for our youngest martial artists, Children’s Only Classes, Adult Classes and even special combination classes designed so that parents may train with their children. Our training programs include both group and private instruction.

The Anaheim Hills studio was opened in July 1987, by its founder, Sensei Rick Manos. Our spacious studio is located in Anaheim Hills right off the 91 freeway at the Lakeview Avenue exit.

Having undergone a very extensive renovation, we are very proud to offer our students approximately 4000 square feet of training area in a studio that is immaculately maintained at all times.

Visitors are always welcome to come tour our studio and are free to watch any class in progress. Guests will experience, first hand, our very friendly and professional environment.

MAI’s normal business hours are:

Monday through Thursday   3:30p-8:30p
Saturday                                  9:00a-1:00p

Private Lessons

The ideal training program incorporates group and private lessons. Group lessons allow training time with students of varying size and ability. However, private lessons allow for intense individual attention. Private lessons can help increase your progression two to three times faster than by group lessons alone. Our trained and certified staff can offer private instruction in Karate, Contact Combat, Self Defense, and Personal Fitness Training. We offer half-hour and one-hour sessions, arranged at your convenience. Please contact your Sensei, Instructor or the MAI staff for pricing and scheduling.

Pro Shop

MAI has everything you need to complete your karate training safely--from wraps to bag gloves; mouth guards to headgear; and protective pads of all types. Want to train at home? We can order the same equipment used during class and carry specialized videos for purchase and use at home. Don’t see what you’re looking for? Stop by the office and we’ll order it for you!

Special Events

At various times throughout the year, MAI offers you the opportunity to participate in special events planned for all students and their families. These include, but aren’t limited to: Park Training in the spring; Beach Training and Pool Training in the summer. We also plan special events just for kids! “Ninja Night” is an evening of fun and games for the kids with their favorite Senseis, while Mom and Dad enjoy a movie or have that rare quiet night at home. We can also host a “Karate Birthday Party” here at the dojo, or at your home. For more information, please stop by the front desk.
